Hello everyone,

This is Sachi from Moana Malie Hair in Harajuku, Tokyo.

First of all, thank you so much for choosing my salon. I truly appreciate every client who visits me, and the time I spend with you at the salon means so much to me.

Today, I have some important news to share about my beloved dog, Ann, and a few changes to my salon hours and reservation system.

1. My Beloved Dog Ann Has Been Diagnosed with Oral Cancer

Ann is my French Bulldog, and she is a very precious member of my family.

Unfortunately, she has recently been diagnosed with oral cancer.

At the end of August, I noticed that she seemed uncomfortable when I touched her face. When I carefully checked inside her mouth, I discovered a growth near her upper gums.

I immediately took her to our veterinarian, who referred us to a specialized veterinary cancer center.

Ann has now had her first appointment and initial examinations.

Thankfully, no obvious signs of major metastasis were found during the initial examinations, and her blood and urine test results were good.

She is scheduled to undergo further examinations under general anesthesia next week. The results will help us decide on the most appropriate treatment plan.

The tumor has been growing rapidly, so I am very worried about her.

However, I am grateful that treatment may still be possible, and I want to do everything I can to support her.

Ann will turn nine years old next month.

Every moment I spend with her is incredibly precious to me, and I want to make sure I can be there for her throughout her treatment.

2. Changes to Salon Hours

To support Ann during her treatment while continuing to provide the best possible service to my clients, I have decided to adjust my salon schedule.

New Reservation Hours

First appointment: Around 9:00 AM
Second appointment: Around 12:00 PM
Third appointment: Around 3:00 PM

I will generally accept a maximum of three clients per day.

My goal is to finish salon services at approximately 6:00 PM.

Please note that longer treatments, such as Japanese hair straightening, may occasionally finish after 6:00 PM.

In the past, I have often accepted evening appointments and sometimes worked until around 10:00 PM.

However, moving forward, I will generally no longer be accepting evening appointments.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, especially to clients who have regularly visited me in the evening.

Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.

3. Advance Booking and Your Next Appointment

I will also be introducing a more structured advance booking system.

I encourage clients to schedule their next appointment before leaving the salon.

This helps you secure your preferred date and time, especially now that the number of available appointment slots will be more limited.

For clients receiving hair improvement treatments, regular appointments can also help maintain their hair condition and results.

Your ¥1,000 Next-Appointment Discount

Clients who book their next appointment during their salon visit will receive a ¥1,000 discount on that next visit.

If you need to change your appointment later, please don’t worry!

You can contact me through LINE or your usual booking channel to request a different date.

Your ¥1,000 discount will still be valid if you reschedule.

Please note that all appointments are subject to availability.

4. Special Booking Offer — Until September 23, 2026

If you visited the salon recently but did not schedule your next appointment before leaving, I have a special offer for you.

If you contact me by September 23, 2026, to arrange your next appointment, I will apply the ¥1,000 next-appointment discount to your upcoming visit.

5. Appointment Availability for September and October 2026

Below is my current availability through October 15.

Morning: 9:00–10:00 AM start
Midday: Around 12:00 PM start
Afternoon: Around 3:00 PM start

Appointment times may be adjusted depending on the treatment you request.
